The combined solution brings radar and video together to improve situational awareness and operator efficiency across large-scale perimeters.

Hanwha Vision, a global leader in video surveillance and security solutions, announces an integration between its PTZ PLUS camera line and Navtech’s AdvanceGuard radar platform. This collaboration delivers a high-value, unified perimeter protection solution that improves security outcomes, increases operator efficiency, and enhances risk management across large and complex sites.

Addressing large-scale security challenges

The integration of Navtech AdvanceGuard with Hanwha Vision PTZ PLUS cameras, including the XNP-6400RW and XNP-C6403RW models, combines radar and video into a single, automated workflow. Navtech AdvanceGuard provides 360-degree high-resolution radar coverage with a range of up to 5 km per sensor, delivering long-range detection that can outperform traditional perimeter sensors and ensure continuous coverage and reliable detection in adverse weather conditions or darkness.

When a radar-defined rule is breached, AdvanceGuard immediately directs the PTZ camera using precise target coordinates, enabling continuous visual tracking without manual operator intervention. This accelerates threat verification and allows organizations to secure large perimeters without increasing monitoring resources. As a result, the integrated solution is particularly well suited to critical and complex locations such as airports and ports, where extensive perimeters must be monitored. It also reduces the need for dense camera deployments, lowering capital expenditure and ongoing maintenance costs.

Enhanced operational efficiency

Advanced AI capabilities in the XNP-6400RW and XNP-C6403RW cameras further increase operational efficiency. For example, AI auto-tracking allows operators to lock onto and track a target with a single right-click. AI-powered video analytics classify people and vehicles, enabling operators to work with minimal direct involvement while managing other priorities, all while maintaining accurate and continuous monitoring. False alarms are reduced through deep learning algorithms that filter out irrelevant information such as shadows, wildlife, and wind-blown trees. This reduces operator fatigue, improves focus, and ensures security teams respond only to genuine threats.

Object classification also improves post-incident efficiency. Operators can quickly perform intelligent forensic searches to locate specific people or vehicles, shortening investigation times and supporting more effective incident resolution. Intelligent analytics such as line crossing, zone intrusion, loitering, and appear/disappear events further optimize monitoring in sensitive areas.

John Lutz Boorman, Head of Product and Marketing at Hanwha Vision Europe, commented: “Integrating Hanwha Vision and Navtech Radar is an exciting step for security leaders who require reliable, scalable, and intelligent perimeter protection.

By combining Hanwha Vision’s industry-leading, AI-powered cameras with Navtech’s radar precision, operators gain continuous situational awareness while improving operational efficiency and optimizing workloads. As a result, organizations can significantly strengthen the resilience of their large, critical, and complex sites.
