The weatherproof interface boxes enable you to easily and cost-effectively expand your security solution. The compact devices require a single installation point which can be located out of sight behind a standard camera wall mount, for example. Data traffic is encrypted at all times - with MxBus via two-wire cables of up to 100 m in length.

This network protection box allows you to protect your MOBOTIX camera from damage caused by electrical surges of up to 4,000 volts that are triggered by voltage fluctuations, high-voltage loads and lightning strikes nearby, for example. Used to establish an Ethernet connection using a MOBOTIX patch cable (RJ45) or via a single-wire terminal connector with an ETH installation cable.
Weatherproof PoE Injector
The Network Power Adapter box (NPA) is an interface box used to establish the camera’s network connection with an accompanying PoE power supply from external power supply units or batteries rated at 12 to 57V DC. Ideally suited for battery-powered, mobile video systems.
Video solutions from MOBOTIX can be easily integrated into existing infrastructure thanks to their decentralized architecture, and the options for expansion are practically limitless. This makes it possible to install basic but effective protection on a tight budget and expand it step by step as needed.
The box includes a temperature and illumination sensor for outdoor use and an NTP time server for system synchronization. Tracking functions and alarms can be configured in the camera software based on position, speed, illumination and temperature. Connection via two-wire cable (MxBus).
Thanks to integrated radar technology, the MX-Proximity-Box detects the approach and direction of motion of objects, even through walls made of wood, plastic or plasterboard. The system complements the well-established PIR sensor technology and works best at close range at distances of up to eight meters.
The Bus Power Adapter Box powers any MxBus module that is connected to the camera. The BPA Box is supplied with an external voltage of 24 to 48V DC. It delivers a maximum power output of 9W, allowing it to power up to seven MxBus modules simultaneously.
Multi-sensor module for indoor and outdoor areas featuring four motion sensors: passive infrared sensor (PIR), illumination sensor, temperature sensor and acoustic sensor (acoustic pressure). Mx2wire+ Media Converter

Mx2wire+ turns existing two-wire cabling into a powered Ethernet (PoE) network, quickly and cost-effectively. Ethernet cables are no longer required to connect and network your IP cameras and PoE devices - even over distances of up to 500 m. Each Mx2wire+ kit includes two units.

Bringing New Life To Old Cables
There are unused television, telephone and other distribution networks to be found in many buildings. These can now be quickly connected to Mx2wire+ as two-wire cables and transformed into PoE network cables that transport both data and power. In this way, an old analog camera can be exchanged for an intelligent MOBOTIX camera without the need for any recabling.
Use Of Standards
A PoE device connected to the Mx2wire+ system is supplied with up to 13W in conformity with the IEEE-802.3af standard. To power both itself and the PoE device, Mx2wire+ requires one power supply per PoE switch (Class 0 or Class 4, IEEE 802.3af/at) or per DC power supply unit (48–57V, 600mA).
Data And Power
With the right two-wire cable, Mx2wire+ can send video data at a distance of up to 500 meters. The maximum possible data rate is 45Mbps, depending on cable quality and distance. The cable also conducts current to additionally supply the end device with up to 12W of power.
Due to physical constraints, cables exceeding a certain length can still transfer data but not power. When installations have no PoE-supplied end devices (PCs, for example), Mx2wire+ can deliver a dramatic increase in range versus standard networks, provided that lower data rates are sufficient for the application.
Mx2wire+ is in-wall or on-wall mounted and protected from moisture. Measures must be taken to waterproof the unit for use under harsh conditions or for outdoor use (this could include a separate protective housing or a MOBOTIX camera wall mount for D1x/D2x/Q2x).
MxIRLight and MxSplitProtect

Protection measures using conventional light can be quite a nuisance in densely populated areas, in remote outdoor areas or in production facilities. Annoying glare is eliminated by using virtually invisible infrared light (860nm) that consumes max. 19W for top-rate energy efficiency.

In most cases, extremely light-sensitive MOBOTIX cameras can be used even without artificial additional lighting. The long-lasting, weatherproof MxIRLight infrared illuminators have proven to be worthwhile in very dark or completely dark applications with lighting lower than 3 lux (in comparison, street lights provide 10 lux), especially for applications requiring intelligent analysis functions.
Discreet Security Over Long Range
The light produced by the MxIRLight illuminator has a maximum range of 120m and generates an infrared wavelength of 860nm that is perfectly perceptible by a MOBOTIX camera with a black/white image sensor, yet only perceptible to the human eye as a red glimmer, in contrast to conventional white lights. With energy-saving LED technology (max. 19W, PoE+ standard).
Automatic On/Off Function
Thanks to the photosensor on the back of the device, the MxIRLight automatically switches on and off (once connected) when the sensor detects light conditions below the threshold of 3 lux - or above this threshold for periods exceeding 150 seconds. This has the advantage that the device does not manually switch off if the light increases briefly due to flashlights, headlights, lightning etc.
MxIRLight And MxSplitProtect
The best method is to install the MxIRLight illuminator directly on the VarioFlex wall mount of a M16 or M26. Without having to lay an extra cable for the PoE illuminator, an M16 camera mounted, for example, on a pole and MxIRLight can be operated jointly via a single (existing) network cable, thanks to MxSplitProtect.
The MxSplitProtect enables users to connect a maximum of two IP/PoE devices using one Ethernet cable to the supplying PoE switch - protected against 4kV power surges. In addition to new installations, existing video surveillance systems can also be expanded cost-efficiently. The MOBOTIX M1x/M2x/D26/Q2x camera series can optionally be mounted directly on the MxSplitProtect.
In addition to the PoE switch, the MxSplitProtectHR hat rail module is also required in indoor areas to connect two PoE devices (e.g., MOBOTIX cameras) to the MxSplitProtect via a single Ethernet installation cable. It transfers data and power from two PoE ports on the switch to the eight-wire installation cable, which is then split off again from the MxSplitProtect in outdoor areas.
MOBOTIX Now On TV As Well. Practical IP Video Interface.
MxThinClient connects your camera network to a monitor or television equipped with an HDMI port. For displaying the live image from individual cameras or Door Stations in chronological order and/or the live image from the camera which last triggered an alarm (e.g., motion detection). Also for displaying advertising messages in retail stores.

The MxThinClient is simply connected via a network cable to a free PoE port of a switch to which the camera displaying the image is also connected. The MxThinClient and monitor are connected with an HDMI cable. If an additional router is connected to the switch, remote cameras that are accessible by Internet via Dynamic DNS service can also be displayed on the monitor.
The MxThinClient is license- and maintenance-free, requires very little power (2W), can be easily supplied with emergency power via the PoE switch and is boot-stable (fast, reliable auto start following a power failure). The network device can be enabled/disabled by plugging and unplugging the Ethernet patch cable supplying power. If the current link to the camera is disrupted, a message to this effect is displayed to the user on the screen.
The MxThinClient offers unique applications by foregoing all control elements such as a keyboard and mouse and due to its “monitoring-only functionality”: In retail stores with customer traffic, for example, in the entrance area in order to make customers aware of the video surveillance system in use (theft prevention). Or whenever operation of the video equipment is not desired and only live camera images are to be displayed (video wall).
MxThinClient can also display on the monitor/TV the live image of the integrated MOBOTIX camera which last triggered an event due to a current event, such as MxActivitySensor. The camera and MxThinClient communicate via MxMessageSystem.
The More Compact, The Better. The PoE+ For Hat Rails.
There is now, finally, a PoE switch available that is so compact that it can be easily installed on the hat rail in small electrical cabinets. MxSwitch supplies power to up to four PoE devices (for example, MOBOTIX cameras, infrared illuminators) while also making it incredibly easy to connect and power a complete Door Station, thanks to exclusive MOBOTIX MxSwitch technology.

Integrated MxSplit Technology
With the integrated MxSplit technology, for example, four of the eight wires (or two of the four wire pairs) of the Ethernet connection cable for a Door Station can be used as a two-wire connection cable for the electromagnetic anti-theft protection module in the outdoor station’s frame, and as a two-wire connection cable for the MxBus (for example, for purposes of connecting the MX-DoorMaster or an MX-GPS-Box directly to the MxSwitch).
Hat Rail Power Supply Unit For MxSwitch
An external 48V DC (hat rail) power supply unit is needed to power the MxSwitch and the devices connected to it; this is unfortunately not available from MOBOTIX at this time. The power supply unit’s minimum required output current is 2A.
Two Door Stations, One M16, One MxDisplay
PoE power supply for all devices on ports A to D. Connection of Door Stations to ports A and D. Connection of M16 and MxDisplay+ to ports B and C. Bridge 1 (B1) on the MxSwitch connects buttons for anti-theft protection with wire pair 7/8 of ports A and D. Bridge 2 (B2) connects 12V DC to wire pair 4/5 of ports A and D.
