Hirsch - Protection of Large, Unprotected Perimeters
Perimeters are often the most vulnerable part of any territory. They are vast, difficult to monitor continuously, and subject to environmental conditions, public access, and targeted intrusion attempts.
Traditional perimeter security often relies on disparate technologies, which create “blind spots,” hinder response times, and trigger false alarms.
Hirsch offers
In sectors such as transportation, logistics, energy, utilities, and industrial operations, organizations face common challenges:
Large or irregularly shaped perimeters that are difficult to monitor
Multiple access points for vehicles and personnel
Remote or unmonitored perimeter areas
Valuable assets located close to the facility’s perimeter
Detecting threats before intruders reach critical areas
Hirsch advantage
Unified Perimeter Security
Hirsch takes a unified approach to perimeter security by integrating perimeter intrusion detection, video analytics, access control, and alarm management into a single, coordinated platform.
Key Perimeter Security Functions
Detection Using Fences and Walls
Reduced risk of intrusion
Attempts to break in can be detected directly on physical barriers using smart sensors installed on fences or walls.
Infrared and Virtual Barriers
Early Detection of Threats
Protect open areas, perimeters, and access zones with infrared barriers that detect movement before intruders reach physical objects.
Active Perimeter Surveillance
Linear Monitoring of Remote Operations
Ensure the security of large or unprotected perimeters by using active surveillance systems designed to cover large areas and provide early warning.
Video Surveillance and Inspection
Faster and safer response
Monitor the perimeter and surroundings of the site using an integrated video surveillance system that allows you to review alarm signals in real time and make more effective decisions.
Integrated Alarm Management
Fewer false alarms
In a single interface, link perimeter alerts with video surveillance, access control, and intrusion events to ensure a coordinated response.
Perimeter Security in Complex Environments
Hirsch perimeter solutions are used in demanding environments, including:
Transport and Logistics Centers
Airports, Ports, and Railroad Infrastructure
Energy, Utilities, and Substations
Industrial Facilities and Remote Equipment
Warehouses and large commercial areas
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Yes. Starting in 2025, SORHEA will become part of the HIRSCH brand and operate as SORHEA by HIRSCH. This means that SORHEA’s existing perimeter security solutions will not disappear - they will be integrated into HIRSCH’s unified physical security ecosystem. Existing products and technologies will continue to be developed, while customers will gain access to a broader portfolio of solutions that also includes access control, centralized security management, and system integration.
Yes. Existing SORHEA products will continue to receive technical support, software updates, and replacement parts. The transition to HIRSCH represents a brand and strategic evolution, not an abandonment of existing technologies. Existing customers do not need to replace their already installed systems.
Integrators gain the ability to develop projects using a unified manufacturer ecosystem. This means fewer third-party integrations, a simpler system architecture, unified technical standards, and a single point of contact for technical support. As a result, project complexity is reduced and the implementation process is accelerated.
Yes. HIRSCH is designed as an open physical security platform that supports integration with many leading video surveillance, VMS, and PSIM solutions. Depending on project requirements, HIRSCH perimeter protection and access control systems can be integrated with platforms such as Genetec Security Center, Digifort, Milestone XProtect, Network Optix (Nx Witness), Qognify, AxxonSoft, Avigilon Unity, as well as other ONVIF- and API-based video surveillance solutions.
At the PSIM level, HIRSCH supports integration with widely used security management platforms, including Genetec Security Center, and other open PSIM solutions.
This allows integrators to retain the customer’s existing infrastructure while supplementing it with high-precision perimeter protection or access control, rather than performing a complete system replacement. This approach reduces project costs and implementation risks and accelerates system deployment.
HIRSCH solutions are designed for facilities with heightened security requirements—critical infrastructure, power and energy companies, data centers, airports, ports, logistics centers, industrial sites, government agencies, and military facilities. The systems are designed to identify potential threats even before an intrusion occurs and to ensure a timely response.
